Mary Kate "Mickey" Stocks' Obituary
Mary Kate Stocks, 23, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. Born Friday, January 30, 1998, in Reston, Virginia, she was the daughter of Kenneth Stocks and Teresa Cobb Stocks.
Mary Kate–known lovingly as “Mickey”- was a strong-willed, beautiful spirit with the biggest heart. Mickey shined a bright light during her short time on this earth and is leaving the world, and those who knew her, better for her presence. Her gentle demeanor and kind soul were unmatched. She was an avid animal lover and leaves behind her fur babies: Ghost (dog), Foreman (cat), Cole (cat), and Winston (cat). In addition to her affinity for animals, Mickey was a talented artist, she had an eye for detail and was especially good at portraits and anime sketches. Mickey is survived by her parents, Terri and Kenny of Leesburg, VA, her maternal grandmother, Barbara Cobb of Berryville, VA, her “grandmother”, Nancy Waters, of Lucketts, VA, her boyfriend, Brandon Black of Ranson, WV, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends as well as her sweet cats and pup.
A viewing celebrating Mickey’s life will be held on December 23rd between 2:00-4:00 pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, VA 20176. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local animal shelter in Mickey’s honor.
