Mary B. Pitz, 86, of Leesburg since the early 1970’s died on September 24th 2011 in Gordonsville, VA. Mrs. Pitz was born October 16th 1924 in Ashville, NC to the late Thomas and Mary Minor Ball. She was a member and past secretary of the Loudoun Hunt. Mrs. Pitz was also a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg.
Mrs. Pitz is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Marcellus Thomas Pitz of Leesburg; four children: Tom Pitz (Gerri) of Orange, VA, Diane Braun (Dr. Steven) Scottsdale, AZ, Ellen Pitz of New York, NY, Charles Pitz (Helen) of Olympia, WA; a sister: Ann Egbert of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 15th 2011 at the St. James Episcopal Church, 14 Cornwall Street, NW in Leesburg. Interment will be held privately in the Ball Family Burial Ground just north of Leesburg.
