Mary Bernice Cissel's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Bernice Cissel, 85, of Leesburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, July 4, 2010.
Bernice was born on April 10, 1925 in Wardensville, WV, a daughter of the late Hugh M. Heishman and the late Cora Virginia Frye Heishman. As a young women Mary was a teacher in MD and WV, but her most proud occupation was a homemaker and mother of six children.
She was predeceased by her husband William Durney Cissel, Sr. in 1994, and three of her children: David H. Cissel, Laura Lee Cissel, and Jean Lynn Cissel.
She is survived by her three children: Susan Lightwater of New Orleans, LA; William D. Cissel, Jr. of Leesburg, VA, and Kelly Quertermous of Purcellville, VA; her brother: James Hugh Heishman of Catlett, VA; her daughter-in-law: Carol Cissel of Murrells Inlet, SC; and three grandchildren: James Cissel, Shawn Reynolds, and William David Cissel.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 11, 2010 where the family will receive guests, from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 605 W. Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176.
