Mary M. Hardy's Obituary
Mrs. Mary M. (Palmer) Hardy, 87, of Winchester, VA, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Winchester Medical Center. Born on February 6, 1919 in Waterford, Virginia.
She was a daughter of the late Henry Palmer and the late Maude M. (Rinker) Palmer. Mary was a graduate of Waterford High School. On July 9, 1940 in Leesburg, VA, she married her husband the late George Hiram Hardy. Mrs. Hardy was a homemaker and a member of Leesburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her Daughters, H. Sue (Hardy) Martin & her husband William, Jr. of Leesburg, Phyllis Mae (Hardy) Compher & her husband Conway of Winchester; and sons, George B. & his wife Roberta Hardy of Leesburg, and Dennis David Hardy & his wife Dora Lee of Winchester. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, Virginia, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2006. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2006, with Dr. G. Keith Almond officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA.
