Matthew McBride's Obituary
Pastor, Matthew Taylor McBride, age 42 passed away on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at his home in Sterling Park, VA. He was born on January 7, 1975 in Fairfax, VA. to William and Sandra McBride. Matthew was an ordained minister and was particularly known for his special gift of teaching and speaking the word of God. He graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Suma Cum Lada with a Bachelor’s Degree, in Religion/ Religious Studies. He was studying for his master’s degree. He was certified as a Crisis Counselor by the American Association of Christian Counselors. He was also a pilgrim for Emmaus and a sponsor for Jill’s House. Matthew loved teaching bible studies at William Waters House and Brookdale assisted living facilities in Sterling, VA. He was a member of The New Life Baptist Church in Sterling, VA. He also enjoyed sharing his gift of writing in Calligraphy. Matthew is survived by his wife, Stephanie McBride, mother Sandra McBride, brother William McBride and wife Kelly and father William McBride and wife Cindy. Matthew gave love and was loved by so many, his smile would light up a room. In his life we loved him dearly and in death we feel the same. Our hearts are broken but he did not go alone.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00pm at Manassas Baptist Church 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, Va. 20110.
