Maude Underwood's Obituary
Maude Moore Underwood, 80 of Appomattox, Virginia, passed on Saturday, May 7, 2016.
Maude was born Tuesday, April 28, 1936, in Newtown Square, PA.
She was a daughter of the late Edgar R. Moore and the late Bettina Anderson Moore.
Maude was a public school teacher with Buckingham County Public Schools until retiring in
1999.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory, including her husband of nearly 60 years, Fred S.
Underwood, of Appomattox, VA. She also leaves, four children, son, Max W. Underwood and
his wife Jane, daughters, Nancy L. Honeycutt and her husband Kyle, Tacy L. Armstrong and
her husband Rob, and Rebekah S. Valenzuela and her husband Joe; seven grandchildren,
Donald W. and Lindsey Underwood, Richard and Erin Underwood, Kathleen Underwood,
Kristine A. and Peter Whalen, Joseph J. and Bailey Valenzuela, Kyle N. Armstrong and Amy R.
Armstrong. Great grandchildren, Hannah Underwood and Avery Underwood.
She was predeceased by brother, Peter W. Moore.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Maude's life on Saturday, June 11th at 5pm
at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 403 Court St, Appomattox, VA 24522.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
