Maureen Weare's Obituary
Maureen Weare, 67, of Ashburn, VA and Dennis Port, MA. passed away on January 1, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Lois (Bragg) Moriarty, and the sister of the late Lois Ann Moriarty.
Born in Washington, DC, she was raised in Silver Spring, MD. She was a 1971 graduate of Regina High School and a 1993 graduate of the University of Maryland. She met her husband, Paul T. Weare, in the fall of 1976 when she and a friend decided to get a cold beer at the Ratskeller, a bar on the campus of Catholic University where Paul was a student. He was smitten the moment he saw her! They married on December 3, 1977.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, she is also survived by their children, Patrick (Gina) of Fairfax, Virginia, Catherine Thomas of Washington, DC, and Kevin (Sarah) of Winchester, VA and six grandchildren, Dylan, Margaret and Reagan Thomas, and Kinley, Liam and Colin Weare.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at 10:30AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA. Viewing will be held beginning at 10AM in the church narthex. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s name can be made to the Franciscan Friars TOR, c/o Fr.
