Melvin Simmons' Obituary
MELVIN HARRY SIMMONS, 70, a resident of Herndon, Virginia for many years before moving to Ashburn, Virginia in 2002 died on Tuesday September 5, 2006 in Lansdowne, Virginia.
Mr. Simmons is survived by his beloved wife Linda Jean Simmons of Ashburn; two children: Michael Simmons of Tampa, Fl, Jo Ann Murray of Ashburn; two brothers: Jack Simmons of Oakland, MD, Keith Simons of Morgantown, WV; two grandsons: Joseph Murray, Harrison Simmons and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. S.E. Leesburg, VA on Thursday September 7, 2006 from 6-9pm. Services will follow at 11:00am on Friday at the funeral home with Dr. G. Keith Almond officiating.
Interment will be in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, VA
Mr. Simmons was born April 8, 1936 in Davis, West Virginia to the late Harry E. and Mary Bonner Simmons. He served his country as a helicopter crew chief in the U.S. Army. Mr. Simmons had worked in the parts department of many Northern Virginia area Ford dealerships before his retirement.
