Michael Eliot Dillon's Obituary
On June 23, 2020, Michael Eliot Dillon, passed away at age 63. Michael was born in Los Angeles, CA to Virgil and Marcia Dillon. He grew up in Los Angeles and graduated University of Redlands with a degree in Management. Married to Jennifer Hall Dillon for nearly 25 years, they raised two amazing sons, Connor and Ethan, and one beautiful daughter, Hallie.
Michael served on the Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach police departments in positions including police officer, crime scene investigator and detective for the first nearly 20 years of his career. Blessed with a flare for making the complex understandable and building sustaining relationships, he was hired by IBM as a subject matter expert in the application of IT solutions for public safety agencies across the globe. He continued to share his expertise through various roles at Firetide, Harris, Northrop Grumman and Elbit Systems of America. Michael also served as a former Board Director at the IJIS Institute; former Board Director at Web Wise Kids; and a former Volunteer at the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund & Museum. His career culminated into his most recent role of Vice President at TSS Solutions, a job he fully embraced and enjoyed. Since his early twenties, Michael enjoyed photography, travel and was always an avid moviegoer.
Michael is survived by his wife Jennifer, sons Connor and Ethan, daughter Hallie, mother Marcia Hill, sister Cheryl Cooper, one nephew Aaron Overturf, and three nieces Angeline Thomas, Sarah Logan and Rachel Cooper. He is predeceased by his older sister Gale Overturf. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA. followed by
a Celebration of Life service at 2pm EST.
