Michael Shaffer's Obituary
Mr. Michael J. Shaffer, 45, of Leesburg, VA, died suddenly of natural causes, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Michael was born on December 28, 1962 in Cumberland, MD. He was a son of the late Harold Thurman Shaffer and Mrs. Frances Delores Smith Shaffer of Cumberland, MD.
Michael served his country in the US Air Force. He moved to Loudoun in 1986. Mike worked for Fed Ex for a short time and International Seal in Purcellville, VA. He was presently employed as a Senior Logistics Specialist for Telos in Ashburn, VA.
In addition to his Mom, Michael is survived by his six siblings: Kathy (Smith) Taylor and (Bobby) Taylor, Paulette and (Butch) Hall both of Cumberland, MD, Christine and (Ethan) Call of Afton, WY, Roy and (Patty) Shaffer of Winder, GA, Diane Shaffer of Leesburg, and Donna Shaffer of Cumberland, MD; three nieces and five nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 4 to 7 at the Adams Family Funeral Home 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
Funeral services will follow on Monday at the funeral home at 10:00a.m.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Cumberland, MD.
