Michael Keiichi Furukawa's Obituary
Michael Keiichi Furukawa, 51, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on November 14, 2010, in his home. He was born in Denver, Colorado on May 29, 1959. Mike spent his early childhood years in Berkeley, California, and overseas in Japan, Taiwan, and Okinawa. He graduated from Chantilly High School and Strayer University and lived in Leesburg for the past 25 years.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Mieko Furukawa of Simi Valley, CA, two brothers, Steve Furukawa of Duluth, GA, Ron Furukawa of Fairfax, VA, and his sister, Ann St. Gelais of Simi Valley, CA.
Mike had a love for life, a strong faith, and a passion for fishing. He will be remembered for his kind and generous heart and his great smile. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on November 19, 2010 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, S.E. in Leesburg, VA.
