Miguel Hernandez Powell's Obituary
Miguel Hernandez Powell, 30 of Purcellville, VA passed on Monday, May 29, 2017.
Miguel was born Tuesday, April 21, 1987 in Leesburg, Virginia. He attended Loudoun County Public School and was raised as a member of First Baptist Church at Sycolin. Miguel served his country in the United States Marine Corp. and served in Iraq. Miguel had several hobbies including skate boarding and playing the guitar.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory including his parents, Carmen Hernandez of Hollywood, FL, his father Michael J. Powell and fiance’ Morgan Cipoletti of Martinsburg, WV; maternal grandmother Carmen Barrios of Venezuela; his siblings, Giovanni Zamora of Vienna, VA, sisters, Laura Elena Powell of Annandale, VA, Gabriella Cipoletti-Powell and Gage Cipoletti-Powell, both of Martinsburg, WV.
He is also survived by his maternal uncles, Jose Hernandez of Alexandria, and Edgar Barrios of Quantico;
And his paternal uncles and aunts, Robert Powell of McLean, VA, Gretchen Powell of Leesburg, Jeffrey W. Powell of Alexandria, AL, and Wendy L. Powell of Gulfport, Miss., plus a host of other cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Rev. Roy A. Trammell, Sr. officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 10 to 11 am for visitation.
Graveside services and Interment will follow at 2 pm at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention 120 Wall Street, 29th floor New York, NY 10005.
