Mildred W. Thomas' Obituary
Mildred W. Thomas 70, of Ashburn, VA , passed away peacefully, the morning of Dec 14, 2023, in her home, surrounded by family.
Mildred was born on June 7 1953, in Leesburg VA, Mildred was the oldest of five siblings to the late Samuel Thomas and Anna Thomas. Mildred was preceded in death by her Son Charles S. Thomas, Brother Samuel E. Thomas II and long time companion Charles S. Daye.
Mildred, who lovingly referred to herself as “Millie, lived in Leesburg VA for the majority of her life. Millie was an important and reliable fixture in her community; loved by many in the Loudoun County area throughout the years.
Millie was known for taking care of many in Loudoun County and surrounding areas. Millie lived her life as a servant leader making sure everyone was always provided for.
Her hobbies included bowling where she met many of her acquaintances. Millie was also known for cooking for everyone all the time as well as providing shelter when some one needed it. Millie loved, served and kept a whole community of individuals through out the years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, One Aunt: Frances Ferrell, Daughter Shana M. Thomas, Granddaughter, Brandi N.Thomas, Grandson Jaleel’e Thomas, Adopted Daughter: Serenity Santiago, Two great grandsons Neimiah Thomas-Martin, Noah Thomas-Martin, Sisters: Rebecca Thomas Ashburn, VA, Sheron Thomas, Sterling VA, Esther Brickhouse MD. Sister/Cousin Antoinette Cox (Walter Cox) Sterling VA. Brother Jeffery Thomas (Christine). Leesburg VA. Niece Tiffany Davis, Spiritual advisor and personal assistant for many aspects of her life. Samuel E. Thomas III personal driver and chef.
She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 216 Loudoun St SW, Leesburg, VA 20175. The Visitation will start at 10 am with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11AM.
