Mildred Howard Short, 89, of Leesburg, VA, formerly of Clifton, VA died on Monday, April 25, 2011 in Leesburg. Mrs. Short was born November 10, 1921 in Harlan, KY to the late Dallas Dudley and Alice May Collins Howard. She loved gardening, reading, crafts and needlework. Mr. Short is survived by her beloved husband Robert Dunham Short; four children: Patricia, Virginia, Robert, Deborah; two sisters: Bobbye and Jaquline; six grandchildren: Mellissa, Elyssa, Dunham, Nathan, Jennifer, Nicholas; three great grandchildren: Andrew, Samuel, Karis and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 7-9pm. Graveside services will follow on Wednesday at Noon in Stonewall Memory Gardens Cemetery, Manassas, VA.
