Miriam Kirkendall, 42, of Leesburg, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Fairfax Hospital. She was born to Ismael Uriarte and Ricardina Robles on July 13, 1970. She is predeceased by her father. She is survived by her husband Read Obituary
I am so sad to hear about the loss of Miriam. She was a caring and compassionate woman who cared about her family, her friends and her students. She will be greatly missed!

My sincere condolency to the Uriarte and Kirkendall families. I remember Miriam from Junior High in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico and from our home church. Always laughing, always talking, always noise!...She will stay in our hearts and minds. ...We will miss you girl!...However we have a date with Miriam, soon, we will see her again, next to the tree of life when our dear Lord Jesus appear again!. When We all get to heaven, what a day of rejoice it that will be!, when we all see Jesus and Miriam, we will sing and shout of victory!!!

Keep on loving one another as Christians brothers. Remember to welcome strangers in your homes. There were some who did that and welcomed angels without knowing it.
I always looked forward to running into Miriam as I passed through Harper Park MS - she was a bundle of smiles and positive energy. Our loss of such a wonderful woman is great but even greater are the wonderful memories she created for each of us. My prayers go out to the Kirkendalll family. Miriam was so dear to me...She inspired me! She motivated me to pursue a career in teaching in Los Angeles Unified. She helped me to be a better person and was so positive in seeing that there was always a way to succeed! She will be dearly missed. May you feel the love of God there to comfort you in your loss.
