Nancy Jean "Serone" Baskfield's Obituary
Nancy Baskfield of Sterling, Virginia passed away on November 7, 2023. Nancy will be missed dearly by her loving son Avery and her family and friends. Nancy was born in Arlington, Virginia and grew up in Vienna, Virginia. She was the 5th of eight children born to Jean and Richard Serone. Nancy graduated from George C. Marshall High School. For the past 20 years, Nancy has worked for Waste Management where she had many friends and co-workers that enjoyed her quick wit and sense of humor. Nancy was a true animal lover and rescued many dogs and cats that she cared for deeply. Her most recent dog, Mojo was her constant companion. Nancy is survived by her son, Avery Barrett Baskfield, who brought her much pride, love and joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Brenda (Tom) Morgan, Jim Serone, Patty Serone, Sharon (Pete) Caracciolo, John (Robin) Serone, Tom (Rachel) Serone and Robert Serone as well as 13 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. Donations in Nancy’s name can be made to the Humane Society of Loudoun County.
