I am going to miss talking to Sue on the
phone so much. I feel sure I will still be
talking to her though. I was so happy
when she came to Florida so five of
us could get together several times
to just be 16 years old again. It was
funny that 4 out of the 5 of us all lived
on Remsent Street. I didn't but wished
I did. What happy memories we all stirred up.
When we were young we were in
Scouts, played basketball, softball,
and not with just the girls teams. Sue
and I were also majorettes together, with
lots of band memories. Our mothers
sewed our uniforms, think about that... We always worked at THE Alcoa Swimming Pool in
the summer time. You see we did see
each other daily, year around.
The Springbrook School ball field lights
were almost Sue's front porch lights.
You should make a trip to Alcoa if
you have not been there.
The part that really bothers me is that
I lived in Washington, DC and Arlington,
VA for 30 years and did not know how
close Sue and her family were to me.
You all would have known me. You
would have loved our stories or been
bored to death.
I will miss her deeply.
Love to all of you,
