Nannie J. Lanham's Obituary
Age 94, died on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the home of her Grandson Robbie and his wife Shari Lanham in Charles Town, WV.
She was born on April 24, 1923 and was a long time resident of Loudoun County. Having lived in Leesburg for over 60 years. She served as Cafeteria Manager at Loudoun County Public Schools for many years. Nannie had a love for cooking and gardening. She enjoyed going to church every week and taking care of her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and extended family.
She is predeceased by her Mother; Fannie May Grey, Father; Willis Carl Hough, Brothers; Alex, Willis and Charles Hough, Sisters; Thelma Chapman, Annie West, Alma Henry and Mary Tomblin. Her Husband; Charles Walker Lanham, Son; Robert James Lanham and Great-Grandson Christian Alexander Dinkins.
She is survived by her Sons; Charles (Bill, Chuck) William Lanham of St. Mary’s, GA and Roger Lee Lanham of Purcellville, VA. Sister-in-Law; Eleanor (Polly) Glesner of Martinsburg, WV, Grandchildren; Robert (Robbie) K. and Shari Lanham of Charles Town, WV, William J. (Bill) and Cindy Lanham of Franklin, NJ, Kimberly Lanham Dinkins of Winchester, VA and Kathleen Lanham Hardy of WV. Great-Grandchildren; Randy Lanham of Inwood, WV, Amber Welch of Charles Town, WV, Angela Lanham and Andrea Lanham of Franklin, NJ, Tanner Lee Dinkins and Ava Catherine Dinkins of Berryville, VA. Great-Great Grandchildren; Olivia Welch and Christian Welch of Charles Town, WV.
Funeral Services will be held at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, VA. The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 15th from 6pm-8pm. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 16th at 11am with Pastor Nichols of Loudoun Baptist Temple officiating with interment following at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bluemont, VA.
Pall bearers are David Lanham, Joe Lanham, Robbie Lanham, Bill Lanham, Ross Myers and Tanner Dinkins. Honorary Pall Bearers are Mark Simmons, Brad Myers, Ben Myers and Jerry Tomblin.
