Neil Cameron Hughes, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from complications of ALS, at his home in Leesburg, Virginia, He was born in Santiago, Chile on December 17, 1936 to Ronald Keith Hughes and Margaret Gibson Read Obituary
Neil and I worked on the Photography Exhibit of the Waterford Fair together for many years. His great sense of humor and willingness to help however he could was a huge help in putting on the show year after year. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I sent my deepest sympathy to the Hughes family.The Hughes boys graduated from Glen Ridge High Ridge in Jersey with me in 1955. I was good friends with Neil as we were in Boy Scouts and on the track team. I often visit Neil in his house. Both of his parents were very nice. His father had a stamp collection which he paid close attention to. I reconnected with Neil about eight years ago and Christmas cards, emails, and telephone calls followed.
Looking at Neil's business career and his great interest in his local community I can see his passion of purpose and hard work which he demonstrated while we were students together.

Jenny and I were best friends when we both attended Wood Acres. Her family was always so kind to me and always opened their doors to me. Mr. Hughes was wonderful to me and spoke Spanish with me which completely shocked me every time he did. I have the best memories of having dinner with them and I remember once they took me to Virginia which was so much fun. To my friend Jenny I send all of my love and to Mrs. Hughes abs Sarah my deepest condolences. He will never be forgotten.
