Neville Letitia Stewart's Obituary
Neville Letitia Stewart, affectionately known as “Tish,”
was born on January 3, 1945, to the late Neville Linda
Jackson and Clarence Leroy Cox at Winchester Memorial
Hospital in Winchester, Virginia.
In her early years, she attended Douglas High School in
Leesburg, Virginia. At a young age, she accepted Christ as

of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Aldie, Virginia.

the love of her life, James Milton Stewart Jr. Their union
was one filled with love, faith, and devotion. Together
they raised two beautiful daughters, Denice “Necie” Long
and Renae Stewart.
Neville had a deep love for gospel music and used her
voice to uplift and inspire others. She served as the lead
singer of the James Stewart Faith Gospel Singers, often
traveling alongside her husband, Jimmy, to various
churches and singing engagements throughout the
Northern Virginia area. Through song, she shared her faith
and brought joy to many.
Neville was also known for her elegant sense of style,
particularly her love for church hats and floral
arrangements. She took great pride in designing many
unique and beautiful hats, which she proudly wore while
dressed in her Sunday best.
