Nicholas Forgues, 42 of Sterling, Virginia passed on Friday, August 20, 2021, at his home in Sterling, Virginia. Born Sunday, September 10, 1978, in Alexandria, Virginia, he was the son of Jorge Forgues and Maria Thomae-Forgues. Read Obituary
Peace and love to the entire Forgues family. Nick was a sweet and fun person. He was my classmate at St. B's and we were both "walkers". I remember walking home alongside him and chatting. He was easy to talk to and loved to laugh...and what a smile. Prayers for all who are missing Nick.
Today I found a bit of comfort with your family. I still don’t have the words. Nicholas—my sweet lovely man. Always reminding me to take a break. Reminding me the power of being engaged and present. You made everything something to look forward to, even doing dishes together. Your voice always calmed me down and your laugh always brought joy to my heart. I am going to cherish the time we shared. While my life won’t be the same without you in it, I will still feel your warmth. I know you’re up there enjoying a Coke and Choripan. I love you so much and will miss you all the time Babe.
I’m sorry to Nick’s family for your incredible loss. I met Nick during our MBA program in 2007. He was tech savvy and business minded and he helped those around him get better and grow. He was outspoken and had a sense of humor that could make you laugh til it hurt. He was a lot of things to a lot of people, but he was mostly a good friend. He helped me grow as a person, a student, a future business leader. Some of the things he taught me have gotten me to where I am today, and I’m grateful to have known him. Prayers that you fly high, Nick. I’d me remiss if I didn’t say that it feels you are gone too soon.

I heard this news yesterday and this is probably my 10th draft of this post…I am at al loss for words.
I first met Nick in 2007 when we both attended William and Mary to obtain our MBA. We were not on the same project team but we immediately became really close friends. We used to talk almost day for over 3 years.
I would not have survived that MBA program without my friend Nick. I have such fond memories of the program, his wit, and traveling to Brazil and Argentina together (we shared a hotel room the whole way). I just remember how excited Nick was when we landed in Buenos Aires…he was home.
I want to share the strongest and ever lasting memory that I have of my conversations with Nick…
My third child was born on July 16, 2009. It was a scheduled procedure. The night before Nick called me and I told him I was freaking out…he told me to calm down…
Then, in classic full honesty Nick form, he asked me what we were going to name our child. I told him we were going to name him Kevin. There was a long silence on the other end of the line, at which point Nick stated, “that name sucks!!!”
My third child was born the next day and his name is Nicholas Anthony Ramage.
I will forever miss you and may memory be a blessing to everyone who knew you in life.

My deepest condolences to Xander and his family. I knew Nick as his alias NicoNights on Xbox. We met 5 years ago in this game called Destiny. I have always his enjoyed his company, humor, and love of music. We bonded instantly (since we both were born in the 1900's) with his love of cheesy movie lines, such as, "Hey Griswald, where you gonna put a tree that big?". He was a kind kindred spirit always willing to lend a hand when you needed help with anything. His voice will be missed throughout our online community. To the Forgues family, our sincerest condolences. On my first business trip to the US, on my first first day at the Reston TWIi office, Nick invited me out after work. We bonded over the Dave Matthews Band and other things we had in common. That weekend I found myself at a Dave Matthews Band concert, along with Nick and 80,000 others, and a friendship was born. Many trips (in both directions between the US & UK followed), he was my best man, he was one-of-kind, and he is hugely missed. David & Denna Thomas
