Norman Kenneth "Ken" "Red" Huffman's Obituary
Norman Kenneth “Ken” “Red” Huffman, 79, of Sterling, VA for 30 years before moving to Leisure World in 2002 died suddenly on Thursday, December 30th 2010. Mr. Huffman was born December 27th 1931 in Thomas, WV to the late Henry and Nellie Swartz Huffman. Four brothers and two sisters also predeceased him. He graduated with the class of 1951 from Thomas High School. Mr. Huffman served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Bell Atlantic in 1986 after 30 years of service. Mr. Huffman loved people and his favorite past times were going fishing and gardening. His greatest joys were his family and waiting to see his granddaughter.
Mr. Huffman is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years: Clara Judy Neale Huffman of Leesburg; three sons: Thomas A. Huffman of Leesburg, Norman Kenneth Huffman, II of Sterling, Donald Nelson Huffman of Sterling; a sister: Lois M.Shaffer of Old Town, MD and one granddaughter: Fallon Maeve Huffman.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 6th 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg, VA. Friends may call again on Saturday, January 8th 2011 at the Hinkle Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Ave. in Davis, WV from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas, WV.
