Pao Shin Shih's Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Pao Shin Shih formally of Ashburn, Virginia. He was 100 years old. Mr. Shih was born in the town of Liuzhou in Guangxi, China on December 4, 1923. He went to High School in Guilin and college in Guangxi. Due to political unrest in China, he migrated to Taipei, Taiwan in 1948. In 1951 he married Ming Fong Hsu, who he met in high school, and had two children before emigrating to the United States in 1961. Mr Shih holds B.S degrees in Chemical Engineering and Ceramic Engineering. He was employed by Whittaker, Clark and Daniels of South Plainfield, NJ until his retirement in 1991.
Pao Shin Shih is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Ming Fong Hsu, MD, formally of Ashburn, VA, his two children, Johnson Shih of West Palm Beach, FL and Jane Thornton of Vienna, VA and his two Grandchildren, Kim Thornton of Brooklyn, NY and Michelle Thornton of Alexandria, VA.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at the family home in Vienna, VA
