Patricia Helen Campbell's Obituary
LOVETTSVILLE, VA—Patricia Helen (Luukko) Campbell, 79, of Lovettsville, VA, passed on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, VA.
Pat was born March 17, 1939, in Amherst, MA, the eldest daughter of the late Edward and Helen Luukko. She lived in Westborough, MA, until her marriage to Lawrence Campbell. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Orleans, France, and then to Northern Virginia, Thurmont, MD, Stevensville, MD, and Seven Lakes, NC.
Pat was a renowned broker in the Northern Virginia and Frederick, MD, areas. She raised her family, graduated from George Mason University, and ran a business all at the same time. A gifted gourmet chef, Pat’s family and friends were always so happy to receive a dinner invitation from her. Pat was also an avid golfer. She was a member of several country clubs over the years including Goose Creek, Reston, Cove Creek, and Beacon Ridge. She especially enjoyed golf outings with her husband and family. “Pat was an accomplished landscape architect and artist. She spent many hours designing and countless hours laboring in her yard and gardens. Her beautiful paintings include many landscapes.”
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Lawrence J. Campbell of Lovettsville, VA, Pat leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Donaty of Lovettsville, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence E. and Robin Campbell of Sterling, VA; and her son and daughter-in-law John M. and Holly Sue Campbell of Middletown, MD. She leaves 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Carol Kaminsky, of Hopkinton, MA, and was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Gaucher, who died in 2007.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
The family will receive friends for viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at 1pm, in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
