Patrick John Mooney's Obituary
At 1430 (2:30 p.m.) on 13 April, Patrick John Mooney (also known as Patrick John Francis Xavier Mooney) was delivered into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and reported to Marine Corps Duty Station Pearly Gates. He is now rejoicing with the angels, catching up with family and old friends, meeting all his heroes, and FINALLY getting all the answers to those nagging history questions. 😁 Thank you for all your prayers - I physically felt them, and the spirit of Lord, in his room with us. It was powerful. The Inova Loundoun hospital staff did an amazing job keeping him so comfortable. His seizures were well controlled and they made sure he wasn’t in any pain. He went surrounded by his family and with the love of so many amazing friends. It was honestly
one of the most peaceful, beautiful, joyful experiences of my life. Pat is finally free of his broken body and able to run triumphantly into eternity. Happy graduation day, my love. Rest well. It was an honor to be your wife and I will see you in Heaven soon (but not too soon😘.) ❤️
Pat, always full of laughter and fun, didn’t want a funeral, so we will be celebrating his life with a good old fashioned Irish wake in the next month or so - details forthcoming.
