On Saturday, March 23, 2013 Paul Franklin Johnson, Sr. departed this life at his home in St. Louis, Virginia.
He was born on October 26, 1925 in Rectortown, Virginia to (deceased parents) Henry
Johnson and Frances Fannybell Johnson.
He attended school in Rectortown, Virginia. He worked all of his life as a cement finisher for Carl Middleton.
He loved fishing, hunting, going to the track, betting on the horses, watching westerns, and watching his favorite football team "The Skins". Listening to his favorite songs Carwash, Here Kitty Kitty, and Back In Love Again.
He was proceeded in death by his wife: Lola Mae Johnson, Sisters: Katherine Ross (Dan Ross), Susie Simms (Phillip Simms), Brothers: Charles, Earnest, Robert, and Roosevelt, Son: Paul Franklin Johnson, Jr. Daughter: Mamie Lee Johnson, Grandson: JaJuan Johnson (Murphy).
He leaves to cherish in his memories, 1 Brother: Douglass Johnson (Durham, NC), 5 Daughters: Katherine Johnson (Winchester, Virginia), Barbara Johnson (Purcellville,VaRamona Johnson (Sterling, Virginia), Lousann Johnson (Leesburg, Virginia), and Frances Chinn (Roland Chinn) (St. Louis, Virginia). 1 Son: Joseph Frye (Virginia); 16 grandchildren, 24 Great grandchildren, 2 Brother In-Laws, 5 Sister In-Laws, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and many other devoted relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 12 noon, at First Mount Olive Baptist Church, 216 Loudoun Street, Leesburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the funeral begins at 12 noon.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hamilton, VA.
