Paul Sheridan Minor's Obituary
Paul Sheridan Minor passed on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Round Hill, Virginia with his wife and family by his side. Paul is survived by his wife Linda of 42 years, 3 children David Minor and wife Barbara, Lisa Minor and wife Joni Eisner, Laurie Penland, 2 step- daughters Debbie Yeager, and the late Sherry Cockrell, 5 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, 3 sisters Helen Martin, Kathy Woods and Linda Morehead.
He was born on July 24, 1935 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Paul was the son of the late Howard Minor and Irma Gidley Minor. He attended West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. He then enlisted in the Navy. After the Navy he enrolled in Carnegie Melon University and graduated with a Master’s degree in chemical engineering.
After college he worked for PPG and the EPA. He started his first company Centec and did a lot of environmental work for the government and big industries. He left Centec and started Incode. When he and his partner Curt Grina developed a software package called POMS. Eventually Incode and POMS were sold to Honeywell and Paul retired. Later he purchased the restaurant, The Breezeway in Purcellville, VA.
There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to Parkinsons’ Foundation 200 SE 1st, suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
