Dearest and best Tutor in my life!!! First, my husband, David and I, Jeanne met Paul through our St Joseph Parish High School Religious classes -- we were blessed for four years to witness his uncanny humor and wit!! Fr. Mullarkey loved it when Paul dug deep into the concepts and then would end with something witty -- just getting all of us smiling and giggling!! In 1976 I started college at UW Marinette and I had Paul as a fellow student in many of my classes...only in one, College Algebra, did I need a tutor -- it had been 16 years since I had studied Algebra! Paul was exceptional and I cut his curly hair for the two years we were fellow students!! He helped me get a B in my College Algebra class!! Unbelievable -- he could help me learn "my" way of understanding the concepts. Poor Lyle buried me in the concepts and Paul lit a light in that darkness! He even helped the night our living room fireplace chimney caught on fire -- getting our kids out of the house and staying with them in his car while the fire department took care of the fire! My kids never forgot that night of Paul "babysitting" them in the middle of winter in his car!! I have many more examples of this marvelous friend -- he never came to town without stopping in to see us - even if only 5 minutes on the way to a Brewer, Packer or Badger game!!!
