Paul Tobler's Obituary
Mr. Paul H. Tobler, Jr., (P.H.), 61, of Leesburg, VA, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Paul, the son of the late Paul Haynes Tobler, Sr. and the late Evelyn Priscilla Frye Tobler, was born on December 6, 1946 in Warrenton, VA.
P.H. graduated from Loudoun County High School in 1965 and matriculated into Bridgewater College, where he played football and earned a degree in sociology.
Having entered his fortieth year with the Loudoun County Public Schools, Paul was a classroom teacher for 17 years and then became the Assistant Principal for twenty-three years at Douglass School.
Paul was a very active member of the community. He coached high school soccer and football, as well as youth soccer. He was co-founder of the Loudoun Youth Soccer Association. He was an elder of Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church and an avid Redskins fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Barbara K. Tobler of Leesburg; three children: Keeley Tobler of Salem, Mass., Meredith and son-in-law: Troy Mayner of Leesburg, and Nathan Tobler of Lucketts, VA.
He is also survived by his aunt, Thelma Everhart of Leesburg; his mother-in-law: Mary Kennedy of Redding, PA.
In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his sister: Sylvia J. Tobler.
Friends may call on Friday, October 3, 2008 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 9 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11am at Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church, 14188 Chapel Lane, Leesburg, VA 21076.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Paul Tobler Memorial Fund, c/o, Merrie Mayner 40092 Thomas Mill Road, Leesburg, VA 20175.
