Peter Acosta Tovar's Obituary
PETER ACOSTA TOVAR, 68 of Aldie, Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Peter, or “Pete” as his family and friends called him, was born in Stockton, California in 1954. Pete grew up in a happy home alongside his younger brother John, and their late parents Mary and Peter. He eventually went on to settle down in Virginia where he had his own children, Jason and Christopher (born four years apart).
Pete was always so proud of his boys and their accomplishments, he cheered for them in their successes and was a shoulder to cry on during hard times. He also became an extremely proud grandfather to his five grandchildren. He had a strong love of sports and refereeing and was able to leverage his skills to referee for not only local children’s soccer and basketball teams, but for his own grandchildren’s games as well.
When he was not working in his career of Sales, refereeing games, or watching sports, you would find him spending time with his son’s and their families, this was his absolute favorite pastime.
After a health condition manifested itself in 2017, the trajectory of Pete’s life underwent a significant change. This forced him to step back from his life as the independent, hardworking individual he had been most of his life. However, he took comfort in continuing his life with the care of his sons and their families. He spent the last several years of his life living with them and celebrated many birthdays, holidays, and happy times. His presence is already sincerely missed by those left behind including Jason, his wife Brandi and their three children, Carter, Nicole, and Taylor as well as Chris, his wife Liselle, and their two children Ronin and Leiana.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM on Friday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
