Peter Frank Legard, Jr.'s Obituary
PETER FRANK LEGARD, 83, live long resident of Lovettsville, VA, died on Monday, July 12th 2010 in Leesburg, Virginia. Mr. Legard was born May 27th 1927 in Wheatland, Virginia to the late Peter Frank Legard, Sr. and Catherine Nixon Legard. He was also predeceased by his wife of 43 years Kathryn Ann Legard in 1991, a son, Peter Frank Legard III in 2005 and his brother, Robert W. Legard in 2010. Mr. Legard retired in 1985 from Arlington County as an engineer. He surveyed in Loudoun County for many years. Mr. Legard founded Legard Associates in 1985 and received his surveyor license in 1992. He was a member of the Virginia Surveyors Association, Lions, Elks and Shriners, also Brunswick moose. Since 1952 Mr. Legard has been a Mason 50 plus years. He was presently active with the Freedom Lodge 118, Lovettsville, Virginia. Mr. Legard was a charter member of Loudoun County and Lovettsville, Volunteer Fire and Rescue. He was the first Troop Master with Boy Scout Troop 662, Lovettsville.
His two daughters survive Mr. Legard: Sue L. Allison of Ft. Myers, FL, Deborah K. Legard of Lovettsville, VA; four grandchildren: Donnie Elias, Heather Legard, Peter Legard, Jennifer Rankin; two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Friday, July 16th 2010 at the Brown/Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA from 6-8pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00pm with Rev. Roland England officiating. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
