Petronila Lujan Valderrama's Obituary
PETRONILA “Peta” LUJAN VALDERRAMA, a beloved member of our community, passed away peacefully at her home in Ashburn, Virginia
the age of 68, on Thursday, February 20, 2025,
Peta’s life was a testament to her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Born on Wednesday, January 2, 1957, in Peru, Peta was the cherished daughter of the late Alfonso Lujan Ledesma and the late Felipa Valderrama Rodriguez. She was the wife of Carlos Oscategui Salazar
Peta leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, and her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Carlos Oscategui, daughter Daysi Oscategui Lujan, grandkids Nicholas Gonzalez, Lya Gonzalez, and Dahlia Rother, sisters, Olga Lujan, Alicia Miranda, Guillermina Marrero, Esther Lujan, and brother Carlos Lujan. She also has a large extended family, including nieces Liset Maldonado, Jimena Ruiz, Isamar Marcelo, Leslie Miranda, and Catherine Marrero, Amely Lujan. Additionally, she has a great-niece, Alba Martinez.
The body will arrive at Temple Baptist Church at 9:30am for the viewing.
A Funeral service will commence at 11:00AM- 11:30AM on Saturday at 45825 Russell Branch Pkwy, Dulles, VA 20166.
The main family will say few words after the service. (Husband, Daughter, grandkids (2), and sister)
Following the service, the reception will take place at 12:00PM -1:00PM.
At 1:30PM, we will depart to the Sterling Cemetery where the Interment will take place at 2:00pm in Sterling Cemetery (45835 W Church Rd, Sterling, VA 20164)
At the cemetery, the music band will arrive at 1:45. We will remain at the cemetery until 3PM
Afterward, we will have dinner party celebrating my mother’s life at my aunt’s house (46836 Northbrook way Sterling, VA 20164 at 4:00PM.
