Polly Belinda Shaffer's Obituary
Polly B. Shaffer, 52, of Leesburg, died Sunday, 20 July 2014. She was born to William and Elaine Sehnert, in Baltimore, MD. Polly graduated from Loyola College, Baltimore, MD. with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. She was married to Brad L. Shaffer.
Polly B. Shaffer was a Defense Intelligence Senior Executive and a member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. She served as the Industry Innovation Advocate and Procurement Integrity Ombudsman. Polly was a recognized expert in e-Business and e-Enterprise transformations, and Enterprise Architecting and Engineering. Prior to joining the government she had a successful career in industry as a Strategic Planner, Program Manager and Lead Systems Engineer.
Polly was a philanthropist and champion for animal causes, her favorite being Labrador retriever rescues and wild mustang and burro protection organizations. Most recently she rescued ten mustangs in Nevada from slaughter and ensured they were adopted.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Return to Freedom American Wild Horse Preservation and Sanctuary.
