Rachel Elizabeth Artigas' Obituary
RACHEL ELIZABETH ARTIGAS, 29 of Broadlands, Virginia passed on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Rachel was born Friday, September 17, 1993 in Reston, Virginia. She worked as a bartender and manager with Glory Days.
Rachel started her education at Mary Star of the Sea Elementary School in San Pedro, CA. She graduated from Middleburg Academy in Middleburg, VA in 2011. She attended the University of Nebraska - Omaha for one year.
Rachel was an avid sports fan. She loved watching and going to football, hockey, and baseball GAMES. She loved the Washington Commanders, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Capitals, Edmonton Oilers, and the Washington Nationals.
Rachel loved going to concerts when able to. She loved Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan. The highlight of the year was meeting Bret Michaels at the Poison concert in July.
Rachel had a minor obsession with The Little Mermaid, Dexter, The Challenge reality show and true crime shows.
Rachel had a love for animals. Especially her cat Larry.
Rachel leaves her family to cherish her memory including her husband Lee W. Taylor; her parents, Richard Artigas and Sandra Schmoldt Artigas; brothers, Richard Artigas and Mark Artigas, and her sister, Teresa Artigas. She also leaves her maternal grandmother Anne Schmoldt, and paternal grandfather, Ricardo Artigas and step grandmother, Pamela Artigas.
A memorial service to celebrate Rachel's life will begin at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. Friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to the service from 1 to 2pm.
