Rachel and I were colleagues years ago. We taught together at Loudoun Valley. I was more than fond of her. I live in the Winchester/Berryville area, and we hadn't been in touch for quite some time. I learned just today (Monday, Jan. 7) of her passing. I am stunned and deeply, breathlessly saddened. Rachel was among the best humanity had to offer. I was a better teacher---and person---for her presence. We desperately needed her here. Apparently, the Lord needed her more. I will have a Mass offered in her sweet memory, and will pray for her, and to her, on a regular basis. - Marc Adams
