Rachel Trammel's Obituary
Mrs. Rachel Virginia Trammel, 67, of Purcellville, VA, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on Jan. 29, 1942 in Loudoun County, VA. Mrs. Trammel worked at Heritage Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation for many years.
She is survived by six children, Jeanette & Stanley E. Harris, Frederick, MD, James Frye and Leslie Jeffries, of Middleburg, VA, Carolyn Frye of Middleburg, VA, Carl & Estelle Frye of Leesburg, VA, Richard & Jennifer Frye of Sterling, VA and Donald and Cara Frye of Purcellville, VA.
She is also survived by 5 stepchildren, her brother, Bernard Jackson of Indiana; her sister, Lillian Whiting of Washington, DC, 5 sister-in-laws: Florene Davis and Henrietta Douglas both of Washington, DC, Gladys Frye of Reston, Sadie Davis and Fannie Lee Brent both of Leesburg; two brothers-in-law: Charles and Velmer Frye of Leesburg, VA; and a daughter-in-law Kellie Frye of Manassas, VA. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Clayton Matthew Trammel in 2006, one son Vincent Frye in 2006.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 12 to 1 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Darryl Walter officiating. Interment will be at Tippett Hill Cemetery, Sterling, VA.
