Rachel Genevieve Jewell's Obituary
Rachel Genevieve Jewell, 90, a lifelong resident of Leesburg died on Friday July 15th 2011 in Leesburg. Mrs. Jewell was born November 12, 1920 in Leesburg to the late Luther and Grace Smallwood Payne. Her husband Alfred H. Jewell predeceased her in 1988. She enjoyed cooking and gardening but she loved spending time with family.
Mrs. Jewell is survived by her daughter: Mary Ann Yockers of Paeonian Springs, VA; a son: David A. Jewell of Harpers Ferry, WV; a sister: Alice Mae Kirk of Farmingdale, NY; a brother: Joseph Payne of Wirtz, VA; two grandchildren: David Yockers, Lauren Jewell; 17 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, July 18th at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg from 7-9pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am. Interment will be in Union Cemetery Leesburg.
