Ramona “Mona” L Johnson, 65, passed away on Sunday, April 14,2024, in Kearneysville, WV.
Mona graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in 1978. Ramona was a Supervisor at Loudoun County Social Services who retired on January 1,2024, after 25+ years of astonishing services. She loved her job and what she did. We tried to get her to retire early and she refused and kept going. She was a hard and dedicated worker. She was known for having a big, kind heart and accepting anyone in her home who was in need.
Born on December 18,1958, in Leesburg, VA, lived in Leesburg, VA until 2015 when she moved to Jefferson County, WV; she was the daughter of the late Paul Johnson, Sr and Lola Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mamie Johnson, brothers Paul Johnson Jr and Joseph Frye, and nephew Jajuan Johnson "Murphy", and Uncles and Aunts.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children Juanita Rollins Tucker (Jamal Tucker) of Charles Town, WV; Moses Johnson and Lashida Johnson of Kearneysville, WV; and Damian Lyles of Centreville VA.
Her sisters Katherine Johnson of Purcellville, VA; Barbara Johnson and LousAnn Johnson of Leesburg, VA and Frances Johnson Chinn (Roland Chinn) of Middleburg, VA. Her 27 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, her children’s fathers Moses “Moe” Harris and James “Oggie” Rollins, and friends.
