Raymond Kelley's Obituary
Raymond Richard Kelley, Sr., 74, of Leesburg, Virginia, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leesburg, Virginia
Born on November 14, 1931 in Round Hill, VA. He was the son of the late Charles Richard Kelley and the late Carrie (Wilt) Kelley.
A life long resident of Loudoun County, Mr. Kelley served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for twenty years as a painter with John Rhodes and Kenneth Jacobs, painting contractors. He then worked for Hazelton Laboratories for eighteen years in security and maintenance, retiring as a facilities assistant in 1993.
Mr. Kelley was an avid sports fan particularly football and baseball. He enjoyed country and bluegrass music. Most of all he loved his family and his five grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Lillie F. Kelley of Leesburg; Daughter-Gail Redmond and her husband Jack of Lovettsville, Virginia, daughter-Monica Staley and her husband Daniel of Brunswick, MD, Son-Mark Kelley and his wife Maryann of Lovettsville, and Son-David Kelley and his wife Murphy Marsh of Leesburg, Virginia.
Mr. Kelley is also survived by his Sister-Agnes Swartz of Charles Town, WV; and Five grandchildren: Jennifer & Karen Redmond, Tyler & Katie Kelley, and Ian Marsh; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Raymond Richard Kelley, Jr. in 1978.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun/ Brown Funeral Home, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA 20180 where the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2006. Funeral services will be at Brown Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2006, Rev. Roland England and Rev. Lee Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia. Donations may be made in his memory to the
