Blessings of love to Ray's family. My earliest memories include his practicing his military skills by supervising his younger sisters while we did the dishes. LOL. While he was married his wife and younger children stayed with us while he was on duty. His wife Lorraine was a peaceful and patient presence helping my mother even as she parented her own small children. All of them enriched our family beyond measure. I remember praying for him while he served in Vietnam--he was my personal tie to that war which awakened my desire for peace in our world. I am grateful to him as a kind and generous host for many family get togethers on holidays. He had a great sense of humor that helped him through challenges like breaking his arm when he fell off a ladder while painting his house. I am deeply grateful for his love of history which he passed on to his children. I am grateful to them for researching and sharing our family ancestry. His favorite piece of music was Ode to Joy from Beethoven's 9th Symphony. May he continue his soul journey with JOY.
