One of my fondest memories of Rebecca is the last time I saw her. I was coming to town for my Brother's wedding and asked her to watch my 2-year-old during the ceremony. Even though he was a very shy baby and had never met her before, Desi warmed up to Rebecca immediately and smiled and laughed for the entire night. He was still awake and smiling when I came home at 10 :)
I am so thankful to have known Rebecca, as a co-worker and friend. She was a strong and bright woman who was truly dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and their families. I think the term she often used to describe others: "brilliant" describes her well. Rest in Peace my brilliant friend.
