OBITUARY INFORMATION
REBECCA MAE COOPER, 63, longtime resident of Loudoun County before moving to Berryville, VA in 2005 died peacefully at her home on Friday, June 21, 2013 in Winchester, VA. Becky was born June 23, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late Joseph E. and Goldie Mae Stewart Overstreet. She worked for Freddie Mac for many years before retiring in 2004. An especially devoted wife and mother, Becky loved spending time with her family and countless friends. Becky loved country music and was often found dancing her way through life. Her favorite past time was in the kitchen cooking and baking. She will forever be remembered for her fabulous cookies. She was a free spirit with a great love for the outdoors.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her beloved husband of almost 8 years: Richard Lee Cooper of Berryville, VA; three children: Ricky Lee Wayne Russell of Lamar, SC, Michael David Russell (Karen) of Yorktown, VA, Lisa Michelle McCollough (Joe) of Berryville, VA; two sisters: Patricia Condra of Rhoadesville, VA, Gloria Nicholson of Purcellville, VA; four grandchildren: Natasha, Christopher, Harlee, and Annie a great granddaughter: Kylea and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 7-9pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 11:00am with Rev. Bob Vineyard officiating. Interment will be in Old Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, VA.
