Rhoda Margot Gensler of Potomac Falls, VA died peacefully of myasthenia gravis at the Johnson Center at Falcons Landing on August 19, 2015. She was 85 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Dr. Herman Read Obituary
Claudia & Joe (CDR) Friend were good friends of Rhoda & Hank Gensler when they lived in Howard County. Rhoda was an amazing political advocate, attractive, lively, and very interesting. Joe died at 87 from colon cancer in 2016. I want to express affection and condolences to her 2 children whom we got to know in Columbia, MD. I now live at Vantage Point Senior Living on Little Patuxent Pkwy. I often think of them!
Today I am very sad as I learned that my dear friend Rhoda passed away last week. I had planned to visit her today but found out she was gone. We were very close friends for 36 years. Rhoda was the kindest, most compassionate person I have ever met . She helped me through many tough times in my life and advised me on so many occasions. Without her in my life, things may have been very different. I learned so many things from her that I cannot name everything here but I would like her family to know that she was very special to me and my family. I will miss her very much. My family and I extend our deepest sympathy to her family during this difficult time. I feel very fortunate to have known Rhoda and I will never forget her.
