Richard Wayne Bates Sr.'s Obituary
Richard “Rick” Wayne Bates Sr., 56, of Catlett, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
He was born on August 12, 1959 in Maryland. He was the son of the late Peggy Joan Hite. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by two brothers Ronnie and Kenny Bates.
He is survived by his dad Edward Bates Sr., companion Judy Rose, five daughters Kimberly Bowers Walker, Peggy Nicole Fowler and husband Wayne, Tiffany Marie Bates, Amy Renee Shepard and husband Robbie, and Jennifer Anniemay Rose and fiancé Bobby Jenkins; his three sons Richard Wayne Bates Jr., Denny Rose Jr., and Frankie Rose; his four brothers Edward Bates of Front Royal, VA, “Buck” William Bates of Leesburg, VA, John Bates of Leesburg, VA, and Bobby Bates of North Carolina; his sister Tammy Degrange Cooper; and fourteen grandchildren
Ricky was a maintenance supervisor of Holiday Inn in Warrenton VA. When Ricky was not working he enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, working on cars and being with his family especially his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Trammel officiating.
Interment will be held privately at Furnace Mt. Cemetery.
