RICHARD GROSVENOR BLANKEN, 97 of Ashburn, Virginia passed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Ashburn, Virginia.
A lover of cars his entire life, he owned three dealerships in Virginia, Texas and New Mexico.
In later years he was an agent for extended warranties, he retired at 96.
Dick leaves many to cherish his memory including his beloved wife of 62 years, Linda Yost Blanken, sons, Richard Blanken, Jr. (Linda), Steve Blanken (Diane) and Joe Blanken (Daphne), daughter, Barbara Menso (Johnny), 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
A Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place privately in Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dick’s honor to Tunnels to Towers or Cancer Research.
