Debbie and I were deeply saddened to hear that Richie passed away. We were very good friends with the Castellano’s in the 90s and early 2000s while Richie and I were members of the K of C, Good Samaritan Council, in Sterling. Our friendship with Richie and Anne grew stronger over the years to the point we considered them our best friends. The four of us socialized together almost every weekend and went on trips to Florida to see their winter home, and to Texas to visit our son and his family. We also joined in with several other couples on annual trips to Nags Head.

Our prayers are with Anne and the Castellano family during this difficult time. May the soul of Richard A Castelanno and the souls of all the faithful departed, Rest In Peace.

I remember Mr. C as a father figure to us all. Calm, kind, gentle and always ready to listen. He was a very steady influence not only for his kids, but for we who spent time in their home. We always knew we were welcome. We could have stopped by when none of their kids were there and still sat down for a meal. I always loved to see how he loved his kids with true affection. A kiss on the cheek was not part of the way I usually greeted my friends, but I learned and loved it. We are definitely better people because of his love.
