Richard Edward Churan
Richard was born on May 3, 1926 in Long Beach, CA and passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his home in Lucketts, VA. Richard was a WWII Marine and worked for the Federal Government for 36 years until his retirement in 1981 from the US Navy Department.
During his retirement years, he spent time in Crisfield, MD enjoying the slow life on the shore. Richard loved his family, including his grandchildren and great grandchildren but he dearly loved his dogs.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Churan and his children Terri Watford, Chris (Bill) Sussman, Richelle (Wayne) Darrell and Kimberly Fisher. Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, 2:00pm at Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church 14188 Chapel Lane Leesburg, VA. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11:00am at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O.
