RICHARD A. SENA's Obituary
Richard Alan Sena, aged 76, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2024. He was born on July 30,1947, in Brooklyn, NY, to Neo (Hugo) and Ada Sena. He was a proud resident of Brooklyn, New York, East Brunswick, New Jersey, Flemington, New Jersey, and Ashburn, Virginia. He graduated from Xaverian Catholic High School and married his childhood sweetheart Irene D'Onofrio Sena on July 4, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York.
He worked as a manufacturing engineer and consultant for many years. His faith, travel, sports, horses, cars, and a good bowl of macaroni were his biggest passions. Richard was a devout Catholic serving The Church as a member of The Knights of Columbus Catholic Fraternal Organization and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; his daughters Meredith (Bismarck) Lopez and Cynthia (Marcus) Washington; and is the Papa to four grandchildren.
Family, friends, and others are invited to the Loudoun Chapel and Crematory, 158 Catoctin Circle, S.E. for Visitations on Thursday, February 29, 2024, 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm, St. Theresa Catholic Church 21370 St. Theresa Ln, Ashburn, VA 20147 for the Funeral Catholic Mass Friday, March 1, 2024, 10:30am, Interment to follow at Union Cemetery 323 North King Street Leesburg, VA 20175, and XCAL Founders' Club 44950 Russell Branch Parkway Ashburn, VA 20147 for repast immediately following to celebrate and honor Richard.
