Richard Charles Davidson's Obituary
RICHARD CHARLES DAVIDSON, 61, of Ashburn, Virginia since 1996, formerly of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, died on Sunday, October 10th 2010 at home with his family by his side. Mr. Davidson was born June 8th 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Francis L. Davidson and Margaret Griffin Davidson. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1968 and later attended the University of Maine, Augusta. Rick was transferred to Ashburn by Pat Ryan and Associates in 1996 to be there Regional VP for the Mid-Atlantic Region. During 2005 he went to work with Great American Insurance Company as a Regional Manager. Mr. Davidson was presently working with Premier Dealer Services as a Regional VP. During his adult business career he was always in the top 5% of production and received numerous awards for his outstanding service. Mr. Davidson was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid sports man that loved hockey and being in the gym. Mr. Davidson ran numerous marathons including the Marine Corps Marathon in 1998.
Mr. Davidson is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years: Jolene Poulin Davidson of Ashburn; three sons: Anthony Davidson of Shirley, MA, Ricky and Joey Davidson both of Ashburn; three siblings: Gail Connell of Brookline, NH, Derek Davidson of Bolivar, TN, Susan Dane of Lake George, NY; two grandchildren Brady and Caitlyn; step mother: Hope Davidson Marlow and husband Sonny. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg, VA on Thursday, October 14th 2010 from 2-4 and 6-9pm. A mass will follow at 10am on Friday, October 15th at St. Theresa Catholic Church, St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
