Robert Wayne Adams' Obituary
Robert “Bob” Adams, 59, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 25, 2017.
He was a beloved member of his family; a dedicated husband to Suzanne Ficzko, a cherished father of Wayne (Jessi) and Greg (Erin), and a devoted son to mother Rose. He was preceded in death by his father, Garland “Dee” Adams. Bob was an outstanding “Pop Pop” and treasured his three grandchildren; Isabel, Oliver and Amore-Anna.
Bob was a well-respected Budget and Finance Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency for many years. He was also a lead Resource Manager at the Director of National Intelligence, where he attained Senior Executive Service status. After many late nights, and weekends of dedicated service, he retired in late 2012 with a federal service career spanning 31 years.
His absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren, who brought a bounty of joy to his life. Although born in Washington, DC, Bob lived many years in Maryland and loved the Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis, and crabs with Old Bay. He enjoyed watching the Redskins, Nationals, and the Orioles. Bob will be remembered for his easy-going personality, convivial manner and an instant likability by those he met along the way in his career and personal life.
The family viewing will be private. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
